Hi Bunny, :)

You need software to write to a CD-r.
The only sofeware on Windows XP to do this is Media Player (9?) as copy to
cd, but only on Pro and Media Center versions.

Software such as Roxio Esay CD and DVD Creator, has a program (Drag to
Disc) that allows you to drag and drop to the CD AND is on the "Send To"
menu of Explorer.

In My Computer, right click the burner drive, take Properties and on the
Recording page check 'Enable Recording on this drive'

Note that if you install third party burning software - especially one
like DirectCD (Drag to disk); InCD or DLA you should leave the
systems's own burning off and use the third party tpools.

If the Recording page is not there, go to Control Panel - Admin tools,
look for IMAPI CD Burning which should show as started. If it does not,
double click it, set Start Up type to Automatic, Apply, OK and then
close and restart the computer
