copy from vinyl media to pc

My media player works fine for copying music from a cd to
the hard drive. I want to copy from other media,
specifically from my turntable to the pc. I have a lot of
vinyl which will never be put on CD by any of the record
companies. I assume that some software is needed to do
this. Can anyone provide me with some insight as to what
is needed and where I can get it?

I use the free version of MusicMatch Jukebox, myself. Lots of help and
