Copy and Paste

I just switched to Outlook 2007 on Vista. I can not seem to hightlight and
copy just parts of emails in this new program. When highlighting it forces
you to take the full text in a formatted block instead of just a portion of
the sentence or paragraph.

Is there a setting I need to change? Or is this something I'll just have to
live with.

Thank you for your assistance. Janie

I can highlight precisely what I want up to the letter. Could you post your
exact steps to reproduce?

The most trouble I have is with eBay emails. They are formetted with several
'boxes' of seperate info and seem to be in MEMO form when I look at
formatting.

I highlight and copy portions of my end of sales email to a WORD document so
that I can get the info to ship onto one page. When I mouse highlight name
& address up to the top of the email it also grabs everything to the left and
bottom of the email down to the bottom of the formatted 'box'.

I highlight and print my listings just from about mid message to the top and
leave the e advertising off so I get a space at the bottom clean for me to
make notes. OUTLOOK will not let me highlight and PRINT "SELECTION" in this
memo form.

If I use Windows Mail I do NOT have either of these problems ... it is just
in Outlook ?? So I figured it was a default setting I do not have right.

I don't have any eBay emails to test with but it sounds like you select with
a space before and/or after the selected word. since this usually is
preferred (otherwise you past words together without spaces). You can tweak
the cut/paste/selection options in the Editor Options-> section Advanced.

Thank you ... I have tried unchecking nearly every line in the advanced cut
& paste section. and un clicking all the smart cut & paste option as well.
When I highlight text it still grabs ALL after where I start down to the end
of of the blocked text.

I can foward you an email if you would like to see the blocks of formatting
I'm trying to avoid clipping. I will need an email address to send one to
you. Thanks!
