I just upgraded to WinXP from Win98, and am having a problem with visiting
some of web sites in the Favorites list. When I try to go to the web sites,
I get an error message saying that the cookies on my machine are not
enabled -- and I can't go to their main web page. Also, on the web pages
that I can get to, I can't do any online shopping -- none of the items will
go into the shopping cart.

SO...I set the program to accept ALL cookies, and even turned off the pop-up
blocker, but the program is still acting as though the cookies are blocked.
The new settings stay as I've set them, so it's not like it's reverting back
to the old settings.

Any suggestions on how to correct this? I've tried the fixed on MS's web
site but they don't work. Thanks!!

Hi Rad17 :)

Try the following and see if it helps:

Error Message Your Browser Is Not Currently Set to Accept Cookies:

Or, do you have another program (privacy, security, ad-blocker,etc.) set to
block cookies? Take a look at programs that run in the background and might
be blocking cookies.

If you have Yahoo Companion, uninstall it.

Hello Rad,
I have similare problem, I have set my Internet Exp. on medium
for cookies controll, this started after I have installed ZA Pro4.

My guess is some Firewalls have also controll on cookies,
I set ZA @ medium range, and at times also I am asked to activate
cookies, with my old firewall I never had cookies problems.

I had to uninstall the old Firewall because I had an online security scan
and the result said that my: ICMP ping,135,445,1026. Ports
were open, there was some unsafe protection. Now with ZA my
Ports are all stealth shut.
Just a suggestion, x@y.
