How to preserve the trusted cookies only

I used to use the Symantec suite of utilities and one of its neat little
programs was one that would delete all of the cookies with the execption of
any trusted cookies you wanted to preserve. But Symantec was a resource hog
so I deleted it all. Now I need a little program that will preserve the
trusted cookies while deleting the rest.

I already tried adding the trusted sites to Tools>Internet Options -
Security tab, Trusted Sites Zone, Sites. But it doesn't preserve their
cookies when I go to Tools>Internet Options>General>Delete Cookies. That
just clears out everything.

Hi PA Bear, and thank you. Sorry to be so late replying but my computer
went haywire and this is the first chance I've been able to get on. I
downloaded the utility you suggested and plan on installing it. But you
also mentioned configuring IE to do the job. I would prefer that approach
but I guess I don't know how because nothing I have tried has worked. Can
you point me in the right direction?

How to Manage Cookies in Internet Explorer 6:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/283185

I have "Block all cookies" enabled. When I visit a site for the first time,
I get a prompt about allowing cookies for the site. If I select No, cookies
are not allowed and I'm not prompted about cookies again the next time I
visit the site. If I select Yes, cookies are allowed and I'm not prompted
about cookies again the next time I visit the site.

If I want to alter these settings, I use IE Tools | Internet Options |
Privacy | Sites and change the appropriate setting for a given site.

Thanks again. That was very helpful.
