Converting to Outlook 2007 & Vista from Outlook Express

My old PC ran Outlook Express 6 on Windows XP SP2. I just bought a new PC
with Windows Vista and want to run Outlook 2007.

Do you have a link that explains how to convert my Outlook Express to
Outlook? The ones I've seen always say you have to export messages, but
when I try to do that on my old system, I get an error message that just
says: "The export could not be performed. An error occurred intializing
MAPI." So how do I fix my old XP to export the Outlook messages? If I
am successful at the message export, where are the newly exported files on
the XP machine, and where do I have to put them on the new Vista machine so I
can import them?

Also, when I try to export the address file, I get a message that "Address
book process has been completed." But I don't get the chance to set a
folder address. So where are the newly exported address files, and where do
they need to be put on the Vista machine so I can import them?

Thanks so much for any help you can provide!

Best regards,

OE & OL have to be on the same PC
In your case you need export/move your OE record store to the Vista PC then
connect it to Windows Mail, once achieved you can export to OL
You might find info here
http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/
or on an OE ng or Vista ng
PS Dont import in OL, all your dates will be changed to import date
