convert access 2.0 forms to 2007 without buying 2003

I'm thinking about buying Access 2007. I have applications with many forms
created with Access 2.0. Access 2007 won't import them -- they have to pass
through 2000, 2002, or 2003. Is there a way to do this upgrade without
buying an interim version of Access?

In a word: No. Also there might be some problems with the forms unless they
are very simple. Hopefully you can find someone with a version of Access that
could do the intermediate upgrade for you.

Have you considered rebuilding the forms and reports from scratch? Possibly
it's time for a look at the database to see how it could be improved.

Thanks, Jerry.

Some of the databases are old; one has been in development for the past
week.

Access 2.0 has served me well, and there are some issues with it that I
hoped might be cleaned up in a new version. Also, support would be nice,
along with long file names.

I've downloaded the trial version of 2007, and I don't find the HMI very
enticing...

Have you considered running 2003? It's HMI has a lot of continuity from
previous versions.

I have both. In typical Microsoft arrogance, they scrambled the whole HMI
from 2003 to 2007. If they ran the tool section at the hardware store they
would rename all of the tools by example uses. So everyone needs to
invest $10,000 in learning curve time for the new HMI. It's no wonder that
Microsoft slipped from being the #1 known/liked brand name to #56...they have
stopped listening to customers. I mothballed 2007 until I can set aside that
much time to waste.

Using 2003 seems like a very good idea -- if only I could find a copy...
Any idea where to try to buy it?

Online... your favorite search engine will be your friend as you try to find
a copy... try the online auction sites, too. You can likely find a copy of
Access 2002 or 2003 (I am not certain, however, whether Access 2003 can
convert an Access 2.0 file).
