Conversation Subjects lines

The conversation subjects (headers) in the message list here (Outlook
2003 on Vista) are coloured pale grey. When viewing a lot of messages
with unread mail the individual messages are, of course, bold black.
This makes the actual conversation subjects literally pale into
insignificance and very hard to scan quickly. Is there a way to change
the colour of the subject lines - at the very least to make them show in
bold black when all or part of the conversation is unread so they have
the same visual "weight" as the individual messages?

Bob

You can change the font, etc of the subjects here while in that view: View
menu > Current View > Customize Current View > Conditional Formatting. You
may have to add a condition for 'read' mail items to control their
formatting.

That changes the MESSAGE Subject, Sender and Received headers, but not
the one I'm trying to change - which is the conversation header. I'll
try and recreate it here - the mail transport won't let me post a screen
grab and I'm not explaining myself well.

These two lines are either bold or normal etc.

Depending whether or not they are read

It's the top pale grey header that I want to change.
