View By Conversation Topic - Remove the big grey box?

Stefan Lasiewski

Hi Everyone,

I have Outlook 2000, and would like to display my messages in a
threaded view.

The closest feature in Outlook 2000 is the "View by Conversation
Topic" view.

However this view has one very annoying feature. For every single
message thread, there is a big ugly grey box with the label
"Conversation: ... ", and the subject of the conversation.

Is there any way to remove this big ugly grey box? I just want to show
the messages themselves.

Is there anyway to change the settings for the big grey box? I can't
seem to find any way to modify it in the "Define View" box or in the
Help files.

Thank you for your help,

-= Stefan

I am trying to restore the threaded view that Stefan is talking about.
If you set up a public folder, and set the initial view on the public folder to be "Group by Conversation Topic", the grey box appears (by the converstion topic) and the posts are arranged in a thread, indented correctly. If you click on a column accidently or otherwise, the threaded view is gone, seemingly not to be recovered. I am trying to restore that view on several users PC's. I have been unsuccessful, I have tried removing all of the view settings, and it does not restore the "threading". Anyone have any ideas

Thanks, John
