Download TWEAKUI.. the program gives you the facility to HIDE icons in
Control Panel..

Do you have TweakUI? Download at
http://www.microsoft.com/ntworkstation/downloads/PowerToys/Networking/NTTweakUI.asp .

Open TweakUI > click on Control Panel > uncheck & 'Apply' any you dont want
but you probably want access to most of these. Just recheck to bring back to
CP.

Use TweakUI - one of the XP Powertoys from (if you have installed XP
SP1)

If you have not installed SP1, the earlier version can be found at
http://download.microsoft.com/download/whistler/Install/2/WXP/EN-US/TweakUiPowertoySetup.exe

Once installed you will find it in Start - All Programs - Powertoys for
Windows XP

Its Control Panel page allows you to uncheck items you do not want to
see there
