Control Panel/Add Remove

When I look at Control Panel/Add Remove Programs, there's hardly any
programs listed there. I did have lots of programs listed, and they are
still on computer and operable, just they are not listed in Add/Remove.
Anyone have any idea what might have happened. Don't think I've done
anything to computer other than download Microsoft Office Sounds. All
updates are current. When I do system restore, the programs come back, but
when I reboot, they are gone again. Only programs that are listed are....
HP DLA, HP Memories Disc, Microsoft Broadband Networking, Microsoft Office
Sounds, Microsoft Office XP Pro with Front Page, WebFldrs XP and WOrks Suite
OS Pack. I don't know what WebFldrs XP is. That is a recent thing that
appeared. All my updates used to be listed here, and now they are not
listed here.
Running XP home.
480 megs ram. Pentium 4, 1.60 GHz
Thanks.

I'm not sure what the problem is in your case, but I experienced something
similar a while back on a Windows 2000 machine. After rebuilding the system,
what I did was download the free UninstallAbility tool:
