continuous display command menus disappeared

Until now the tabbed menus remained displayed at the top of Word. They have
disappeared except for the tabs. I just want them back. Perhaps the
terminology is hampering my search.

Right-click on the bar that has the tabs and click Minimize the Ribbon to
deselect it.

If this is Word 2007, you can double-click any tab, or press Ctrl+F1, to
toggle between the collapsed and expanded ribbon.

When the ribbon is collapsed, single-clicking any tab expands the ribbon,
and using any button on that ribbon automatically collapses it again.
