What happened to the command "Lowercase"?

I uploaded Word 2007, but decided to defer using it to a less busy time, and
returned to Word 2003.

All my macros had disappeared; I was able to restore them by pasting them
back in.

BUT at least one regular, built-in Word command has disappeared:
"lowercase." What happened to it? Must I create a macro to lowercase text,
now?

In 2003 out-of-the box, the "Change Case" button on one of the regular
toolbars opens a window with the choices lc, all caps, sentence caps,
title caps. But it turns out that in Customize Toolbars you can add a
button that actually cycles through lc, all caps, and initial cap for
whichever word the cursor is in (or for a selected stretch of text
that doesn't include a period[!]). But you have to design your own
keycap for it -- otherwise the name of it (I think it's "Change case")
takes up lots of space on the toolbar.
