does anybody know how to override the password in content advisor? my
teenager has his content advisor password protected so i am unable to make
any changes to it. of course i could just ask him, but it would be much more
fun to just change it on him without his knowlege.

thanks,

Why do you want to do that? Have you set guidelines for his browsing? Have
you set him down and had the "now I know I can trust you . . ." talk? You
know, the talk where you tell him that you trust him (a lie, of course) and
you know he will be responsible (another lie, naturally) but you need to
know what he is doing online (he'll lie, duh!) and now that we got that out
of the way, take out the trash. This can be very entertaining. I've got
loads of laughs watching this very conversation take place between my
friends and their kids.

Geez, what a wimp parent. The first issue is who actually owns the
computer. Did the kid buy it, or did you buy it? If you bought it, did
you gift it to him or did you always let the kid know it was your
property? If it is your property and the kid is abusing it, take it
away! Or format the hard drive. If you're the one paying for the
telephone (for his dial-up access) or for the cable/DSL access then
disconnect him from Internet connectivity unless he complies with your
rules since you are the one paying for the connectivity. Sounds like
the kid is making the parent jump through hoops. Obviously if you can
change the password then so can the kid.
