Contacts in Outlook 2003 have Disappeared

When I downloaded the Microsoft Office 2007 Suite onto my laptop, all of my
contact information, (names, addresses, and telephone numbers), have
disappeared from my Outlook 2003. How can I retrieve the information? Is it
just hidden? I thought about uninstalling the 2007 Office Suite, then hope
that my other information would reappear.

Can you help me? That lost information is pertinent.

thanks,

Denise

Is all the rest of your data from OL2003 there?

Yes, everything has disappeared for Outlook 2003. It is as if the 2007 suite has hidden it. The Outlook 2003 does not even appear in my "All Programs" menu.

Uninstalling is unlikely to help. You need to find the pst file you used
before and open it in your profile.

enter %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook in the
address bar of windows explorer - do you see your pst files?

If so, see http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/2007_profile.htm for making
a profile and using your old ppst files.

Often when installing Outlook 2007, a new mail profile and a new PST get
created. This will hide the prior data. Open the Mail applet in Control
Panel and add the old PST by clicking Data Files, then Add. After adding the
old PST, make it the delivery locatrion with the Set as Default button. Then
start Outlook and you should see your old data.
