Contact info missing when emailing.

Having installed Outlook 2003 on a new computer, I sent an email with an
Outlook Contact folder as an item and as text, and only the name, address,
etc. showed up in the email. The notations in the large window in the
Contact folder did not show up. What do I need to do to get them to show up
without having to copy and paste?

You can't send an entire folder. If you want to send a single contact,
compose a RIch Text message (the other person must be using Outlook as well)
and insert the contact item or drag it from Contacts to the body of the
message.

Thanks for your suggestion, Brian. Unfortunately, I wasn't clear in my
description. When I send the contents of the first page of a Contact form
to someone who does not use Outlook, I open an email form in the Contact
form of the addressee, click on Insert, Item, the location of the Contact I
wish to send, select Text, select the name of the Contact, and what had
always appeared was the name, address and phone of the Contact, followed by
any notations made in the large window on the first page of the Contact
form. Since reinstalling Outlook 2003 on a new computer, the notations in
the large window don't show up.

If I send the item as an attachment, the attachment does include the
notations in the large window.

In what format are you sending the message? If you are sending it to a
non-Outlook user, send it in HTML or Plain Text and see what happens.

The only formats listed are HTML and plain text. Either one produces the
same (lack of) result.

I am having the same issue, and this is a major issue for us. I want to be
able to send a normal email (html) and insert a contact as an "ITEM" and have
it show the fields that I entered data into. It used to work perfectly on the
other versions of Outlook prior to this version of 2003.

Hope someone can figure this out!
