constant two tone beeping

About one week ago my computer started to beep from the
internal speaker. Well as being a quick fix guy i just
removed my tower cover and dissconnect my small speaker
from the board. Didn't work, it still comes through my
external speakers on my desk when turned up on the
volume. The beeping is a constant two tones. First lower
toned then higher. Almost as if it is a seirn. It dosn't
start right away always. Takes about a couple of minutes
to sart up but it never fails. Anyway if anybody knows of
this knd of problem solution i would greatly appreciate.
Also if possible anything for it to stop.

Thanks for any help,
Brandon S.

Check your motherboard manual to see if it's a error indicator. Many
botherboards these days your onboard sound to do this. See you mobo makers
web site if you haven't got an manual. Could also explain why start up is
slow.

Sounds just like an overheating alarm.

Hey Plato I think you might be right...

When he said...

Did he mean the PC takes a couple of mins to start up OR
the noise takes a couple of mins?
