Connection Problems

S

Stephen

To take some of the load off our domain controller/ file
server/ exchange server i have set up another W2K server
machine with Terminal Server installed. I am able to
connect to this machine using the client from inside and
outside the network when IP is configured to use DHCP. But
when I hard code the IP address on the new server I get an
error message saying that the client cannot connect. Can
anyone tell me what i am overlooking? Thanks.

Does the IP address lie in your subnet's address range? If not, the address
may not be routable.

Also you might want to check if your assigned address conflicts with another
machine.
