Connecting XP clients to and NT network

We currently have an NT server with several XP clients &
NT workstations. We are able to connect the NT
workstations to the domain, but not the XP workstations.
We only seem to be able to set them up as workgroups.
This limits their sharing ability. We get different
error messages when we try to have them join the domain.
Can anyone help with this? Thanks
