connecting to wifi

I have wifi laptopneed to connect but get message limited or no conectivity
useing bt2110voyegerrouter have wireless on my desk top but cant do lap top
which has all the things needed its one mth old and desktop 5yrsold ehat am i
doing wrong?.carole

Did this laptop ever connect to this router?

Have you tried turning the power to the router off, and then back on?
