Connect prompt at startup

A few days ago upon startup a Connect window appeared, asking me to dial my
defalt connection number. Now at every startup I'm asked to connect and need
to click Cancel. The only reason of this I could think of is setting up a
small home network, although during set up I said I had no internet
connection. When I disable my network adapter, the problem vanishes.

Any ideas how to disable this prompting?

Internet properties > connections > never dial a connection...
