Connect problems after malware

PC running XP Home SP2, wired link to Broadband Router
Had the standard problem no internet after running Adaware.
Ran WinsockXPFix - not fixed
Reinstalled TCP/IP - IE6 works, can access internet no problems
BUT - caused system to want reactivation.
Tried but hung trying to connect. Then found the following:-
Outlook Express - can't connect. Media Player - can't connnect.
Real Player - connects OK, Norton can't connect
Have reset winsock and TCP using netsh
Ipconfig does not work
Ping from PC to router and other PCs works OK
Ping from other PCs does not work.
The reactivation gave me 3 days so I am now 2 days and counting.
Any ideas anyone?
Thanks

Which "netsh" did you run? Did you try the other two LSP reset programs?
# LSP-Fix.
# WinsockFix.
# WinSock XP Fix.
# "netsh winsock reset catalog"
# "netsh int ip reset [log_file_name]"

Also, try reloading the drivers for the network card.

Are you sure that the malware is gone? Did you use HijackThis, and get expert
advice? Can you post a link to your forum thread where the expert advice was
provided?
