I set the work pc from domain to "workgroup" with the

on restarting the the win 2000 logon wont recognise my

You'll have to bring back your workcomputer to the domain where it belongs
and ask the system administrator to rejoin it for you.

When you remove your computer from the domain, your domain user credentials no
longer will provide access to your computer and instead you need to use a local
user account. You will need to explain to the powers that be at work what you
did so that they can add your computer back to the domain. --- Steve
