Confirm file replace thumbnails?

When moving image files from folder to folder it
sometimes happens that a file in the destination folder
has the same name as a file that is being moved to that
folder. That's when the Confirm File Replace dialog box
pops up. Normaly the two files displayed in this dialog
box are represented by there associated icons. I thought
I read somewhere that it was possible to do away with the
images default icons and have the actual images displayed
instead, though they be scaled down to thumbnails.
Is this possible in XP or am I simply confusing this with
something else?

Well I was thinking more like JPG/Gif/BMP files, or at
least that is what I was lead to believe. I was to
understand that these common image file formats were the
ones that displayed the thumbnails. From what I see from
the EXE file you alluded too, these common image formats
are not supported. I appreciate the link, I found some
truely helpful files there, but this really does not
address my query where these image formats are concerned.
I was to understand that this was a built in function of
XP. Whether this is true, or possible, has yet to be
confirmed. This is just something I was curious about. I
would think that such a feature would be integrated into
XP and not something that could be added. But I suppose
it would not matter how it came to be, so long as it was
something that was functional. Thanks for the heads up
with that link though. Tons of cools scripts and programs
there.

Am fairly certain that you are stuck with the assigned icons & no
thumbnails in the Confirm dialogue box.
