Config.msi error

MParker-Bell

I have this error message that pops up when I attempt to
install any software or uninstall any software on my W2k
advanced server.

Win2000 Administration Tools Installation

Could not set file security for file C:\config.msi\
error 5: Verify that you have sufficient privaledges to
modify the security permissions for this file.

Can anyone give me any feedback as to what the problem is?

Check your c:\ drive, if oyu have permission to create config.msi directory
? Try to create one and assign Everyone full permissions.

Looked for the file and folder on the root of the local
drive (C:\) after I turned off the hide feature. Still not
there. Tried to create the folder C:\Config.msi and
gave "Everyone" - "Full Control" over the folder. No luck
I still get the same error message as before.

Thanx for trying though!

Does anyone else have any other ideas?

Thanx!
