Config for Ndistest 4.3.44?

P

Pavel A.

I run NDISTEST beta 4.3.44 on wi-fi LAN card, but without WPA.
Isn't setup in this case same as for Ndistest 4.3.30 (two APs) ?

V. 4.3.30 happily finds both APs (SSID specified in registry).
Then I run v.44, and do not select any WPA specific scripts.
But it can not find something... why? does it require full setup for WPA?

The 2 AP configuration from 4.03.0030 should work for 4.03.0044

Can you specific the error you are getting?

Thanks

Mitesh,

I have setup that works with 4.3.30, AP names are non-default (specified in registry).
Then I run script WHQLConfigCheck.wsf from 4.3.44, in manual mode on same machine.
Both my APs show up in the log, but it says that could not find all required APs.
I guess it looks for 2 more APs needed for WPA test.
If so, how can I get past it if I don't select any WPA specific script.

Thanks,

Does the device under test support WPA? If it does then irrespective of
whether you select the WPA scripts, the tester requires 4 APs.

We have found some issues with WLAN tests in 4.03.0044. We would be
releasing a new version of the NDISTest shortly. This includes the fixes and
a number of changes to the WLAN tests including new WLAN test setup. In the
meantime, can you please use 4.03.0030 for WLAN testing?

Thanks

Thank you Mitesh,
My device does support WPA. I'll try to disable WPA in the driver.
Could you add option (in registry?) to run without WPA?
Four APs is too much of setup if one wants only to test basic functionality.

We will look into incorporating this option. Thanks for the feedback.
