computer won't start up...all the way

hey,
when I log in to a profile, I log in then it seems like the computer just
quits. The background loads, and then nothing. No icons, no taskbar, nuthing.
mouse still works though, and when I boot up in safe mode everthing is fine.

1. Boot in safe mode
2. Run MSConfig
3. Disable all start-up apps
4. Reboot in normal mode
5. Run MSConfig
6. Re-enable individual apps at & reboot to see if problem reoccurs. Repeat
til all apps enabled or bad app found.

Once you've found your transgressor, get rid of it. If, at step 4, it still
doesn't work then reboot in safe mode again and try disabling all
non-essential (non-MS) services.

I have this same problem and I have tried your help options but this still
has not fixed the problem. Any other suggestions???
