Computer will not come out of stand by/ power saver/ hibernate mode

When my computer goes into stand by/ hibernate mode it
does not come out of it. I have to restart my computer to
get back to windows. Any ideas? Your help is appreciated.

Mitch,
You will have to go into the power setting in xp and set
the hibernation box to off so it won't hibernate click
apply and then it won't hibernate anylonger. there is a
patch somewhere here in the knowledge base that has a
patch for this problem. once it reaches that point of
hibernation windows wont let it wake up so to speak. If
you dont mind to have hibernate then just shut it off as
I said earlier.
