Computer restarts when I use both DVD burners at the same time

I wanted to do a full erase on 4 DVD+RW discs. Since I have 2 burners, I
figured I could erase 2 at a time. When I try, XP says it has a problem and
goes into Restart. IOW, I can't start erasing one disc and then start the
second one. Is this normal?

Thanks,

Norm

Take at look at your CPU usage while only erasing one DVD, also trying two
at a time may be overloading your power supply.

How are they connected? Are they BOTH on the same IDE cable? What type of
processor (CPU) are you using (Dual???)

Ummm, exactly what is it that it says, when it "says it has a problem"?
How is this information presented? Those kinds of specifics can be very
helpful.

The screen goes immediately black, and then it reboots. After rebooting it
offers to let Microsoft know about this failure. (I turn down this
opportunity.)

If you report the crash, MS may show a solution.
