Ok I've had this problem while using windows media player and I figured
it was wmp not I have this problem while using iTunes to rip my cd to
my hard drive.

Once I rip a cd using either software, my CD drive become
unrecognizable and I am unable to rip another cd or use my cd drive for
anything. The only way to get it back is to restart. being as tho I had
200 more Cd's I want to rip to my HD restarting after every rip will be
even more time consuming.

Can someone please help me.

I am having the same problem: One RIP and then I have to shut down media
player and restart the program to rip another CD (I don't know if the CD
player is fully disabled as described by younghova35).

I can't believe that Microsoft designed this program to do only one CD at a
time and then require a restart of the program. What are we missing here
folks?
