Hi Again

I'm not sure why its happened but as I said I had same sort of problem, if I
were you I would update the software for the camera, this an excert from
Canon web site ......
ZoomBrowser EX Updater (EN)
Version 5.6.0a
Released on 20/3/2006
Description:
New Functionality
Support has been added for RAW images taken with previousPowerShot models (*).
Support added for RAW images taken with PowerShot G1/G2/G3/G5/G6,
PowerShotS30/S40/S45/S50/S60/S70, PowerShot Pro1/Pro90 IS.

(*): PowerShot G1/G2/G3/G5, PowerShot S30/S40/S45/S50, PowerShot Pro90 IS:
These RAW images were previously developed in File Viewer Utility, but it has
become possible to develop them in RAW Image Task as well.

Changed functionality
The button for connecting to the camera has been separated into two, one for
compact digital cameras (IXUS, PowerShot) and one for Digital SLR cameras
(EOS Digital).
There is also a separate button for connecting to memory cards.

I suggest a visit to Canon and download latest software and utilities.
Good luck and repost with results

If you haven't yet tried to uninstall/reinstall all the USB controllers,
there *may* be a simpler answer. Do you use this computer to connect to a
network (such as a laptop that you use both at home and at work)? If so,
Windows may be attempting to use the same drive letter for your camera as a
drive already assigned to a network drive. That will result in the symptom
you describe -- you won't see the camera as a drive.

After connecting the camera, right click on My Computer, select Manage and
then on the next screen, click on Disk Management. If you see the camera
there, assign it an unused drive letter.
