Canon Camera not recognised

Hi, my canon A400 is no longer recognised by my pc. When I connect the
camera to the pc the auto run window comes up blank. When I try and access
the the pics via explorer it says my camera is busy and to try later. I also
receive an error when I right click and select properties. I've
uninstalled/reinstalled all camera options, checked usb ports, replaced the
batteries, and run the microsoft autorun patch. My camera and usb cord works
fine on other pc's.
Please help i'm going crazy!

I had a similar problem and found the Norton anti virus was treating my
camera as an intruder and denied it access to PC. I now disable Norton whilst
loading pics to PC and enable again when finished. Good luck.
