Computer keeps freezing

I have a Dell Inspiron 2650 with Windows XP. At various times, usually after
being idle for a few minutes my computer freezes on me and doesn't respond to
ctrl alt delete, only to holding the power button down and restarting. It
has done this 7 times today. I have tried running ad-aware a couple times,
cleaning up my hard drive, deleting unused programs, and it keeps doing this.
Can anyone give me suggestions as to what to do? Thanks

I had that problem once and it was a faulty power supply. Is your power
supply OK, or overloaded?
