Computer hangs when shutting down on jusched.exe

I mistakently posted this question to the newsgroup for Media Center XP. I'm
running XP Pro, SP2. My question is:
Every time I try to shut down my laptop (an IBM X31) it hangs on one or
more
program. The consistent offender is "Jusched.exe". I don't know what it even
is. Sometimes a half dozen or more programs will not close without my
manually closing them. But the only program that always requires manually
shutting is "jusched.exe." Any suggestions?

Java Update Scheduler, you could disable it perhaps and just occasionally
manually update Java

Thanks for your reply. I'm not sure how I would disable it. Are you
suggesting that I simply search for the program in Windows explorer and
delete it? I'm hesitant to do this, because I don't know how this will affect
my computer. I tried to find a Java community like this one so I could pose
the question as to what to do, but I couldn't find one. Can you point me
toward that?

In any case, thanks very much for your reply.
Bob
