Complicated DV Input to camcorder THEN to DVD

HI All,
I know this sounds weird..but I have made the video in WMM saved it to my
Sony Mini DV DCR-HC40..Then I hooked the camcorder to my Sylvania DVD
Recorder/VCR Recorder through the front SVideo.
When I try to record from my camcorder to the DVD, the DVD recorder say's
"Recording Error" " Program is not allowed to be recorded."
It starts to play, then this message appears...the video is still running on
the TV..but DVD recorder stops recording....Like my video from WMM is
copyrighted or something like that???
Is there a reason this shouldn't work? Is it the software? or do I need to
look into my DVD recorder?

I have burned DVD's from my Sony MiniDV this way lots of time with just
regular footage, not with any editing from WMM.

Oh by the way...I have nero express and it will not burn a dvd from WMM so I
ordered the Nero Ultra 6...then I should be able to burn DVD's directly from
my computer??right??? fingers crossed. BUT, I was still wondering why the
above wouldn't work.

Thanks for any help~~Lesley

I cant answer your problem but I have a problem with the same camera getting
it to work fully with WMM2. It picks up my camera but doesnt let me initiate
the transfer from my computer or allow me to make adjustments via WMM2. I
dont get the page on the video capture wizard that asks if you want to
capture the entire tape or parts of the tape. And i cant control the camera
from WMM2. And I dont get the page that lets you adjust camera settings. Can
you tell me how you got your camera to work with WMM2? Please help.
