completely remove Yahoo Messenger

Windows Server 2000, v5.0.2195 , SP4 , Build 2195

i (apparently) de-installed Yahoo Messenger and all the related crap it puts
on your machine using Add/Remove Programs

YM is no longer is listed in Add/Remove Programs

but every time my computer starts-up, YM pops up asking me to sign in

how to completely get rid of YM ?

I don't know anything specific about Yahoo Messenger, but..
You might be able to find out where it is getting launched by using a
utility such as:
MSCONFIG.EXE (look in C:\WINDOWS\PCHealth\HelpCtr\Binaries)
- or -
AUTORUNS from SysInternals:
http://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/freeware/autoruns.shtml
