compatibility for limited accounts in winxp

So far the beta version of microsoft anti-syware only
allows access to its real-time protection from an
administrator account. An error message appears when
logging on to a limited account notifying the user that
real time protection is disabled. This is irrating if
running limited and administrative accounts on a pc.
Hopefully microsoft can make the real-time protection
available to limited and administrative users after beta
testing.

I was pretty disappointed (and puzzled) to see this also, especially
since MS, itself, recommends not to run XP with Admin rights for normal
day to day computing. I'm sure this will be resolved in the future.
It just doesn't make sense otherwise - a security product forcing you
to run your computer in an insecure mode?

Yes, this is a known bug, limited accounts and multiple account scanning
should be supported by beta 2.

Real Time Protection on my Limited Accounts is Enabled. When right clicking
the Microsoft AntiSpyware icon Security Agent Status is shown as Enabled, am
I missing something?

MSAS Beta 1 is unpredictable, if its working on your system I would not be
surprised. Scheduled scans works exactly the way it should on my system.
Here is a tip for persons running limited accounts:

There's an options setting in Microsoft Antispyware for the type of user.
Options, settings, general, User modes, knowledgable versus Novice.

Novice is prevented from taking some actions as I recall--this might be
worth checking.

I have mine set to knowledgable, prehaps this is what makes the difference.
