Comments Disappear

We have Word 2007 (in capatability mode). When I put in a New Comment in a
document, as soon as I Save the document or the auto save goes into effect my
Comments disappear. Is there a setting that is not correct?

Does this happen with a particular document or can you reproduce it in any
document in Word?
