Hello,

when i tried to log on today to my WindowsXpPro, i got the following errror
when i try to logon:

The system cannot log you on due to the following error:
the program issued a command but the command length is incorrect.

I tried starting up in safe mode, but same problem, I can't access my
computer anymore, has anyone a solution for this phenomenon.

Hi Nico,
try booting into Last known good configuration.
If that works, check for Windows Updates.

Look also in add / remove programs for an update: KB885835.
This update is supposed to be the problem.

Hi,
just saw another case like yours.

Try checking your windows version:
start / run: winver

The version should be (if you have Sp2 installed):
5.1 (Build 2600.xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158 : Service Pack 2)

If you have a different build try re-applying Sp2.
