Comet removal

Mike C

Each time I boot it tells me that Comet Cursors is
attempting to load, offers to remove threat which I
accept, says it's removed Comet but fails because the same
thing happens next time I boot up!
Anyone have a complete list of system mods which Comet
does to anyone stupif enough to install it. (In my case my
14 year old daughter!)
Comets own removal tool fails to do the job as do one or
two others I have tried.

Hi Mike

There's usually a uninstaller for this in the 'Add/Remove
Programs' in the Control Panel The name could be

CometCursor/Plus /Shop /Toolbar
Comet- Comet Cursor 3.0

Running Spybot Search & Destroy or Ad-aware might clear
this as this has been around for ages, download them and
run them and MS Antispy in safe mode and see if it
deletes this.

The filenames are :

comet.dll, Brbho.dll, Csbho.dll

Removal

This is for 3 variants of this (plus/toolbar/shop) so you
might not find most of this especially if MS antispy has
removed some of it.I just tried to download cometcursor
plus to check the filenames but its just giving a error
message on their download page.I think either my security
settings are too high or they might be on a blocked list
by either spybot's immunize or spywareblaster, try this
and see how you get on
