Combine portrait and landscape slides without clicking?

I am trying to do a slide show in PowerPoint that can run automatically
without clicking (with set times for each slide). I want to be able to
combine slides in Portrait and in Landscape orientations. I have read the
PowerPoint help which says to put them in separate files and hypoerlink from
one to the other, but even if I hyperlink on MouseOver it seems to just do
one switch from one file to the other and then just continues in the other
file. Does anybody know how to do this?
