Cluster problems after installation hotfix 823980

Hello all
We am running 2 Windows 2000 Advanced Server in an SAN
environment attached over an fibrechannel switch with a
Compaq MSA 1000, as an Microsoft-Cluster.

The domaincontroller is an NT4-System. We installed the
hotfix 823980 on the domaincontroller and on one of the
clusternodes. After the reboot of the node the
clusterservice failed. The node can't join the cluster. The
cluster lives on on the other (unpatched) node.

Knows anybody about problems with 823980 and
Microsoft-Cluster and how to fix these.

Please excuse my bad english

It sounds like a security problem. The cluster service
needs to use an identical domain account and password.
You stated that you patched your DC. Are you having any
authentication issue's? Can you log onto the node that
isn't working properly with a domain ID? Can you logon to
that node with the cluster logon and password?

thanks for the posting your approach is good.
I can logon with any domain-related account on the node, as
Domainadmin, as Clustermanger etc. But I' am not able
anymore logon as Clustermanager into the Clusterconsole,
only as local admin.
