Closing down takes forever!!!!

I have XP Pro and everytime I close it down it takes at
least 2 minutes. It looks like there is a problem as the
hard drive light is always on during this time. I heard
it maybe Easy CD Creator, but I removed that and it I
still have the problem. How do I find out what the
problem is to correct it?
