hi guys. this is the first time i am attempting this so plz help. i need to
make a client login feature where i can provide my clients with a username
and password so that they can view their case details online. i am a
solicitor and am designing my own site, basically i would have a simple
database which would hold all the case details as and when new developments
occur, the fields would be NAME, DATE, and EVENT only. i want to arrange it
so that my clients can log in and view their case details through the site

Hi
If you have frontpage extensions installed and have frontpage 2003 you could
use the database interface wizard and the results wizard to create it all
for you.
word of advice though create the form with the fields you need, Name and
event it would be wise to chainge the name of the date field to something
like Sdate as date is a restricted word in access, then in form properties
you can get frontpage to create the database for you and create the
connection.

It might be best if you are starting out to perhaps change to expression
web design and use database connection in asp.net as frontpage extensions
are no longer supported by Microsoft so might become obsolete in the future.
