Clicking on new link opens in old window - WHY?

A

Art Mensor

When I click on a new link on a website, 95% of the time
it opens in a window I already have open. Why? I have to
open each window to find if it even opened.

How can I set Internet Explorer to open each new link in a
new window?

THANK YOU!

P.S. And HOW do I find replies to these questions? I
guess you will have to notify me in my Email address
above, I've spent hours going through this
Microsoft "information" trying to find out and there is
NOTHING that tells you.

For the amount they charge to install their products, and
ultimately the amount of money they are making, you sure
would think they could afford to hire a couple of people
to answer questions for those of us who are still learning
their programs......

This is default behavior unless the person who created the page specified
otherwise, or you specified otherwise using the method Dave suggested.

You can Shift+Click a link to cause it to open in a new window on a
per-demand basis, also.

If you are dissatisfied with your Microsoft experience, you do not have to
continue to use their products. You don't call Chevrolet to ask them how to
change your oil, do you?
