clearing recent doc's

I'm having trouble with clearing of my recent doc's, when i go to clear them
it
takes so long even if i only have one or two entries. I have to wait for
what seems like a very long time before i can close out the boxes. does
anyone else have this problem?

Bill, have you done a check for malware. If not go to these two sites.
They are free and do a good job.
