Clearing I E History

When I clear the history on Explorer a few items still
remain. I have been told that this is becuase there is
hidden history and I should delete the history folder
altogether. I am on XP and have been told that the easiest
way to delete this history folder is to log in as
administrator, use explorer, find the user (which is
administrator) then delete the folder. But the PC will not
let me do this. Any ideas anyone? My home PC is provided
by my employer and I have searched for jobs on here which
I really do not want my employer to see.

Matt,
Startup in safe mode and the machine's default administrator account should
be accessible. Hit F8 about once per second as soon as you hit the power
switch to get to safe mode. More on safe mode at

Or create a new user account with admin privileges. From either of these
accounts, you should be able to delete your History folder.

Hello Matt,
There is a great free software that will erase all files
and folders and save you a ton of time. You won't have to
go into the temp, temp internet, history, MRU , etc.
I've been using it for about 2 weeks and it works great.
