Circular writing

PP 2003.
I have a large circle taking up the majority of my screen. I want to write
text (font 8) in a circle around the left/top edge of the circle that matches
the font written horizontally in the middle. I have tried word art but
although I choose the same same type and size they look different plus it
doesnt follow a true circle shape.
Is there a way of writing the text and then bending it as I wish?

As to the true circle shape, it can work but you need to drag the top
resize handle to the proper height and resize it on the circle.

Did you also try to place the horizontal text within the word art shape
using the split circle with a line through it (second line, 4th from the
left on the WordArt shape menu? Type the outside circle information and hit
the enter key, type the horizontal information and hit the enter key. To
shift the top wording to the left, just click immediately after the last
character and press the space bar as many times as necessary to shift to the
left. Click Preview to see what the change will look like.

Also, you need to make sure that in the Format WordArt menu, the fill is a
solid color, and the Line is set to no line. This will give you your basic
font shape without any embellishments such as shadow or outside border.

It can be made to work but it may take a significant amount of work to get
it exactly like you want it.
