Hi

I opened a .ppt file in powerpoint 2007 and noticed that the texts in
the textboxes are spilling out of the placeholder. However when I
opened the same file in powerpoint 2003, it fits in the placeholder.

The font, font size and margins of the textboxes when opened in both
versions of powerpoint are the same. The size of the and shape of the
textboxes are also same. But the text doesnt fit in 2007, whereas it
fits in 2003.

Kindly help.

Which font did you use? Please double-check that it's installed on the 2007
computer. And please install a local printer or the PDF/XPS-Add-In.

Best regards,
Ute

Hi

Thank you for your suggestions.

The font used here is CG Times. Yes, the font is installed on the
laptop. A local printer is installed on the laptop, set as default and
is working fine. But the problem still exists.

I can send you the slide if you would like that.

Kindly advise.

I forgot to mention, the font (CG Times) in powerpoint 2003 looks
different in powerpoint 2007. In powerpoint 2003, CG Times is a little
thicker than the same in PowerPoint 2007.

If you click on the text, "CG Times" is displayed and everything looks fine.
Look into the fonts folder of your system, whether the TTF file is there.

Hey Ute

Thank you for your reply.

You were right. The font is not installed on the laptop. I couldnt
find the TTF file in the fonts directory.

Just to be sure, I created a new powerpoint presentation, typed
something in and tried to change the font to CG Times. This font was
not even listed there.

Anyways, thank you for your time.

Best Regards

Jams Al
