Hi, I really need some help here. I went to turn on my laptop last night,
(This laptop is brand new, I've only had it for a month) and it took 10
minutes to boot when it usually takes 60 seconds!) It stayed on the Windows
start up screen with the moving bar for 10 minutes. It has never done that
before. Earlier that day, it had worked just fine. After booting, and the
welcome messege popped up the welcoming sound was all choppy and breaking
out. Music on my media player did the same thing, which were songs i had
ripped onto WMP ages ago. Any program that makes sound (such as messengers)
now have choppy sound and the computer runs very, very slow.
Earlier that day, I had ripped a CD onto WMP and the music was choppy, but I
figured it was because the CD was scratched. It worked fine after that until
I went to turn it on again later that day. Windows task Manager shows the
Computer is all working fine and good, there are no strange Processes that
shouldn't be there. I have over 60 GB left on hard drive, I've hardly
installed, downloaded or used anything. Norton Has not picked anything up,
and I've gotten rid of all Spyware problems. I was only on the computer when
ripping the CD for about a half hour, so something must have happened within
that time period? I was on the internet just a bit, but I didn't surf into
anything unusual or download anything.
Please, if anyone can help me out, I'd really appreciate it!
